Framingham risk score is widely used score for prediction of coronary artery disease. This score incorporates various risk factors like age, gender, levels of total cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, smoking status, systolic blood pressure, and antihypertensive therapy. Framingham risk score is used to estimate a 10-year risk of a myocardial infarction or death occurring as a result of coronary artery disease.
