Non vasodilating betablockers are recommended for the treatment of hypertophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (Class I, Level of Evidence B, as per European Society of Cardiology Recomendations 2014). Other class I drug recommendation when beta blockers are not tolerated is verapamil. Disopyramide has a class I recommendation in combination with betablocker or verapamil.
