Slow or no reflow following primary angioplasty in acute myocardial infarction

Slow or no reflow is the reduced filling of the coronary artery after a successful angioplasty. Slow or no reflow is one of the most difficult problems faced during primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). It is better to prevent it as treatment is difficult. No reflow is usually seen in delayed cases and has to be anticipated when the thrombus load is high.
