AWMI – acute

Deep QS complexes (Q waves without succeeding R waves) in anterior leads with ST segment elevation which is convex upwards in V3 (Pardee’s sign) indicating acute anterior wall myocardial infarction (AWMI).

ECG taken the next day shows poor resolution of ST segment, possibly indicating inadequate reperfusion of the infarct related artery.
