JNC 8 hypertension guidelines expected in fall 2011

The Eight Report of the Joint National Committee on Prevention, Detection, Evaluation, and Treatment of High Blood Pressure (JNC 8):

JNC 8 expert panel (http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/guidelines/hypertension/jnc8/jnc8members.htm) is co-chaired by Paul James from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa and Suzanne Oparil from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Birmingham, Alabama. The panel has 16 members from all over the Unites States.

JNC 8 report is expected to be available for public review and comment by spring 2011.

The expected release date of JNC 8 is fall 2011.
