Pacemaker ventricular block
First degree, second degree and third degree block can occur at the lead – myocardial interface. First degree pacemaker ventricular block is manifested as a delay between the pacemaker artifact (spike) and the QRS complex. In second degree pacemaker ventricular block, the interval progressively increases culminating in a non capture. In third degree pacemaker ventricular block, there is total loss of capture.
Post ectopic mitral regurgitation
Long pause following an ectopic beat can produce a diastolic mitral regurgitation during left ventricular angiography. Abnormal sequence of activation can cause mitral regurgitation during the ectopic beat due to papillary muscle dysfunction.
ST elevation in Prinzmetal’s angina
The ST elevation in Prinzmetal’s angina occurs during pain and disappears when the pain subsides.
